Monohull or Catamaran?
For how long do you wish to sail?
What ages?
Do you wish to catch fish or go diving?
Go to all the best restaurants or eat food made on the boat?
Is money the main factor or is this a luxury vacation?
Do you have much sailing experience?
Have you chartered before?

If you want general advice without any details, mine would be to rent a
catamaran for a week, bringing along enough other couples of families
(that you believe you can get along with) to fill the boat, use one of
the top organizations (Moorings and Sunsail seem to have good reps
overall), and let the crew do all the work for you including picking
where you go and what you'll do. This is an expensive choice, but you
will have the best chance of enjoying your vacation this way. Remember
to tip the captain & cook appropriately.

Cheers,

Robb
