Default Going to Aruba

Hello All,

We're going to Aruba in 2 weeks. Haven't been there for over 10 yrs.
Staying at Boardwalk apts. Any advice, warnings, words of wisdom
appreciated. This is a jibe or die trying trip.

Take lots of lessons with Mac. He'll help make it happen for you.

Enjoy your trip. I went last year or the first time. I did ABK. I
stayed at a hostel type place deeper in the the neighborhood past the
Boardwalk Apts. I assume you are renting from Vela (great gear) and
will walk across the street to Vela.

My only caveats are do not park your rental car near under a divi tree
near the boat ramp @Vela. Parking will get tighter later in the day. I
had my rental car window smashed in and my backpack that was stowed
behind the front seat stolen. It happens all the time apparently. The
worst part was wasting a half day getting the window replaced at the
rental car place and filling out all the forms.

Grocery stores are big, nice and make the stay cheaper. Take advantage
of it.

You will have to get pretty far off shore to get a nice steady breeze.
No real problem except it makes coming back to shore for a rig change,
a long PIA. Remember you are on vacation, and most of your friends are
working or freezing their tails off.

Next time I will give Bonaire a try. I suspect I will like it better.
Less of a tourist trap.

Thanks for suggestion. Does Mac work for Vela?

Thanks for advice. Do you need a car to get to grocery stores?
