Default Belize wave sailing

Hey Alan, I think it should be fine in February, the winds should be
great, probably 18-20kt. I got some good sailing in San Pedro, and if
you're an adventurous type, you could wave sail the reef. Its about 1km
upwind of the launch, but you can reach as far as you need on both
tacks to get there (pretty much dead on-shore wind).
Be warned, though: the reef is SHALLOW! As in
poking-above-water-at-low-tide shallow. If you sail it, be prepared for
nasty wipouts and fin damage. There are no "beaches" per se, you launch
from a dock or little sandy cove and sail out from there.

Default Belize wave sailing

Anybody ever windsurf out of Corazal Town? No surf, but huge chop,
would be awesome B&J. The trades seem to venturi in the bay, I think
it was 20-25 kt almost every day Jan-Feb, often 30+, when I was there
(many years ago now). I was boatman most of the time for an
archaeology project working at Cerros across the bay, and it was
usually white knuckle driving in the afternoon - the previous year,
inexperienced boat drivers sank 3 boats, up to 20 footers.
