My usual take on this is that if you want to visit Key West (or any place
else for that matter) then visit there, don't just "pass through". Staying one
place, and visiting another is basically passing through. Trying to save
money by staying well away from there seems to be trading time, and
for that matter opportunities, for money, and often not as much as one
might think. You'll leave earlier than you otherwise might, you'll arrive
later, you'll see less, do less, and ultimately may miss the very thing
you were hoping to visit. A thousand dollar trip to Key West might save
$100 staying up the chain abit. I'm not sure that is really the ideal
swap. |
