There used to be a city bus that went round the terminals and took
people to the Howard Beach subway station where they could get the
A train. Has that bus been discontinued now that they have the
shuttle train to the E train at Jamaica? One can, of course, get
to Port Authority on the E train as well as the A train. I don't
know what the shuttle to Jamaica costs in addition to the $2 fare
on the E train. I think the trip could well take an hour or a bit
more all told, depending on how long you had to wait for the bus
and then for the subway. As I remember, you didn't have to pay for
the bus to Howard Beach station. I did it once but it was a long
time ago. |
