Default Omaha to Portland OR, lowest altitude

Certainly. Take is river at Omaha down to the Mississippi,
thence to the Gulf. Take a boat around the stip
of South America around to Oregon. Alternatively
there is the Panama Canal.

Yes, get a map which shows railroads as well as highways and try to
follow railroads. Railroads have a powerful incentive to reduce altitude.
