According to their websites, it's $75 ($105) via Amtrak, and $80 on
Greyhound. Greyhound times go from 11+ - 16 hours. Amtrak is about 12
according to the schedule, but it's usually at least 13. I would opt
for the Amtrak choice because of the fact it's more comfortable (walk
around, snack car). Actually, I would pay the extra for business
class. It's in the back part of the snack car, fewer seats, more
comfortable, and you get free non-alcoholic beverages (Niagara Falls -
NYC). One thing, the Hudson River portion is usually done in the
darkness.
I don't know about air fares. One thing, the train or bus get you into
the heart of the city as opposed to outside at the airports, an extra
expense to consider.
Also if you choose either train or bus, remember you will be arriving
later in the evening so you may want to make sure to have a guaranteed
reservation somewhere. |
