Miriam-Webster:

Americana 1 : materials concerning or characteristic of America,
its civilization, or its culture; broadly : things typical of America
2 : American culture

I am comfortable with my usage.

You shouldn't be. "Americana" applies to classes or types of objects,
not to specific items of historical import. You might want to consult
a nearby English teacher for confirmation.

The Denver US Mint was closed to tours, except by advance reservation for
groups, last year when I was there.
