Camping on Vancouver Island

We are renting VW van and camping on Vancouver Island at the end of
August. Does anyone have any "must do or must see" suggestions.
Also- we would love any recommendations for campgrounds. We will be
on the island for one week.

Botanical Beach (west of Victoria)

Port Hardy / Telegraph Cove area (for whale watching)

Lake Cowichan

Shawnigan Lake

or try one of the Gulf Islands
