Seattle - stay somewhere downtown; you can walk or take public
transportation to almost everything you'd like to see in Seattle. (Can't
tell you more without a price range.)
You'll want to see: Pike Place Market, Museum of Flight, Pioneer Square
area, ride ferries, go to Mt. Rainier (for starters).
On Whidbey, there is a nice, centrally located Best Western that I've
often recommended to friends. I believe it's called Oak Harbor Plaza.
An upscale motor inn with great (free) breakfasts. You'll want to visit
Coupeville, Deception Pass State Park, ferry from Anacortes to Friday
Harbor. |
