| | Guest | Driving to New York Last October me and my girlfriend stayed in Sacuacous (sp?) NJ (meadowlands
area) at a Holiday inn for a little over 100/night, it was a very nice
hotel. There was a bus that took us to central station right outside our
hotel and took about 15 -20 min in the morning and a little longer at night.
I figured we saved money by not parking/staying in Manhattan and staying
across the river.
Good luck and have fun.

If he's coming from the UK, he wouldn't be expecting to be allowed to do
that in any case.
Actually, once he leaves New York City, he should know that if he's
stopped at a traffic light with his right-turn signal blinking, people
are apt to begin honking at him because they want him to turn. Actually,
turning right on red is not obligatory where it's allowed, but many
people seem to think it is.

Anything near Newark airport. Newark, Elizabeth, Union, all have good
connections to the city as do all the towns along the northeast corridor like
Linden, edison, etc.

You are correct. People get stuck in gridlock every day. I did today. Exactly on
that route. A BAD idea.

into the city daily.
