If you are interested in science, the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller
is a must. It's a day trip north from Calgary. It's full of fossils of
dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. Besides the museum itself,
you can tour the badlands where many of the fossils come from and even
take part in a dig.

It would be if you would enjoy one of the largest rodeos. I've never
been to it, but it could be an interesting experience for you.
However, I imagine then rooms would be even harder to come by. Most
people visit the area for the natural beauty, so it would be something
different. Rooms in the national parks I mentioned above can also be
difficult to get, so it's never too early to make reservations.

What is a good practical guidebook to have in hand when traveling in western
Canada?
