Default Capilano Suspension Bridge - Vancouver?

Is this a worthwhile place to visit while we're in Vancouver? I had
thought it would be an interesting thing to do, but at a cost of
$27/person, I just can't imagine that walking across a suspension
bridge would be worth that price.

I had a similar feeling about the gondola ride up Grouse Mountain.
It's $33/person and seems a bit pricey for just a trip to the top to
see the view.

Your thoughts/comments?

Stan

The nearby Lynn Canyon suspension bridge is smaller but quite
spectacular and free.

Agreed. I believe that it's actually higher than Capilano. There are
good walking trails in the Canyon too. Capilano attracts most of the
tourists, which is also a reason to stay away.

You can walk to the top of Grouse Mountain if you wish, and the ride
down is much cheaper (around US$10 in 2007, if I remember correctly).

But the walk to the top is brutal... sort of like walking up stairs (2
steps at the time) for 90 minutes. Don't even think of attempting this
if you're not a conditioned athlete.

View at the top is spectacular. It would be worth $33 for me to go again.

Best part of Vancouver (IMHO): taking the water taxis to Granville
Island. They're a lot of fun and you see a lot of the city.

Since when did they start charging for it? Who is running the operation?
City of North Vancouver?

Ah, it must have been the OTHER bridge that I was on...many years ago.
