If you live in Europe, you can buy an RV (or a car) in the U.S. but
you won't be able to get license plates or insurance for it, as those
things require that your legal residence be in the U.S.
I don't know what Canada's laws are, but I suspect that they are

Ok, thanks... strange I know people owning cars (not RVs) in the US,
but living in Switzerland... Perhaps they got an intermediary?

That's not necessarily true, and it varies from state to state.
What's necessary is a physical address in the US, but it doesn't
have to be the owner's legal residence. | |

citation, please. this is certainly NOT true in all states. my
state requires a physical address, but you do not have to prove
that you are a resident to register a vehicle. you are confusing
the requirements for vehicle registration and obtaining a
driver's license. | |
