Here in Vancouver it's about CA $1.15 per liter. A few cents less
when you leave Vancouver, as there aren't municipal taxes in the
price. Note that when you tour parks you should pay attention to your
gas gauge, as fuel isn't everywhere. For example, if you drive from
Kamloops to Jasper, you can travel 250 kilometers without a petrol
station.

No such thing as free. What you mean is free "at the point of use". In
other words funded from general taxation.
