Default Visa waiver program problem

Hello, I'm an italian citizen, actually living in Arizona for tourism
and volunteer help. I've been here for 2 months since 4th of May and
my flight back for Italy is on 3rd of August. I used the Visa Waiver
Program, so i received 90 days of permission to stay in the Usa. But
my travel agency calculated 3 months, so my flight back is on the 91th
day and it isn't a flexible ticket, so i should stay here for 1 day
illegally. What should i do? Can I have some problems? Is it better to
go to the italian consulate in Los Angeles, or I can come back in
Italy without having problems just for one day of difference? Thank
you for your help.

Go to the town hall, show them your visa and your return ticket and ask for
an advice or an extension. They ought to know about the details of American
immigration.

If your visasays be out on such and such a day, check in to the
terminal, clear outgoing customs by 11:59 on that particular day....

then make like tom hanks and kick it around in the terminal till your
