The place you need to go to get to (or just to see from a distance)
the Statue and Ellis is called "Battery Park".
IIRC the fare is $45 from JFK to any destination in Manhattan, so just
ask the taxi from JFK to take you all the way to Battery Park.
You won't have much time, but if you have a little more time than you
thought, Wall Street and Ground Zero are nearby, and Chinatown is not
far.
I wouldn't bother with the red bus for such a short visit. You will
need to be at the airport two hours in advance of your flight, and you
should leave plenty of time to get back to the airport (the traffic
between Manhattan and JFK can get pretty bad close to rush hour). |
