Default Los Angeles!!!

Hi, can anyone please tell me of the best areas to live in, in Los
Angeles? I am looking to buy a flat there, and was hoping for some
first hand information!
Los Angeles is a huge metropolis. "Best" depends on a number of
factors. What kind of "flat" are you interested in buying and for
what purpose are you going to be living in LA? What price range are
you looking at? How large?

Compton.
Compton is the heart of the ghetto, don't do it.

Do you know where you will be working? If you're working in the O.C.,
we would have one set of possible answers; if you're working in
Downtown L.A., we would have a different set. Likewise the Valley,
the Westside (such as Beverly Hills or Century City), etc. would each
give different answers.

Once we have your work location, we'd need your price range and your
willingness to commute.

There are many lower-priced sections in remote areas (Inland Empire,
Antelope Valley, etc.) which could be appropriate if you are willing
to commute.

Give us more to work with and we'll have some answers.
