Default Extended family vacation resorts?

I'd like suggestions and help from anyone who knows a great
all-inclusive resort in the U.S. for a one-week summer family vacation.
We'll be celebrating a 50th anniversary, so ages range from 7 to 75.
We're not looking for a totally isolated place, necessarily, but one
with fun activities for everyone and reasonable access to good
restaurants and maybe a little shopping. Thanks!

The Tyler Place in Vermont comes to mind. It's very nice, but call soon:
they do book up. http://www.tylerplace.com/

Sun Valley, Idaho would be my choice, given your requirements. Lots to
do outdoors, plus decent restaurants and fun shopping.

If you hadn't specified U.S., I would have suggested Whistler, B.C.
Same choices as Sun Valley.

Can you supply a little more information?
Area of country desired?
Coast, mountains, lake?
Preferable weather?
Total number of people?
General nightly accomodation budget?
Can give you much better advice with this info answered.
