Need suggestions for travel to Monument Valley by car from Dallas

Hi!I would like to take a leisurely travel vacation to Monument Valley
and visit the Indian reservations. What is the best time of the year to
travel there? I would like to spend 7 to 10 days there? I need
suggestions from members of this group. With thanks.
