Default DVD in hotels

I carry a portable DVD player to connect to hotel TVs. But lately I've
run across several hotels where this is not possible - there is no
TV/Video switch on the remote. The hotels say this is because of
various entertainment options on the TV. Anyone else run across this
problem? Any solutions?

Get a bigger portable DVD player and sit closer to it.

it is realy very simple.....if the TV has A/V in but to tv/input button
ont he remote, than you need to buy a 10 dollar universal remote and
toss it in your dvd bag......

if the TV has no a/v input than you need an output from you dvd which
has a coaxil cable type end on it, just plug it into the antenna/cable
in and then put the TV on either channel 2 or 3.....

we rigged up our own a/v-->splitter-->coaxil so we could play madden on
tour in hotel rooms and my wife could watch tv.....
