296. It will tell you everything you need to know - and then some.

I don't know, but people seem to have been doing just fine for the
last , what, 90 years of flight before we had GPS.

Do people use Jeppesen charts, or would a good gazetteer do? | |

1800WXBRIEF to see if there are any TFRs in the area. In addition to
that a good gazetteer is fine.
I use a simple and cheap GPS (Garmin 12).
