replacing a Rotax 582 blue head

Is is cheaper to rebuild one of these with the $1200!!! crankshaft, find
a more powerful engine, or switch to a modified Suzuki/Geo engine? Cost
is important but reliabitlity is #1 here. What would a replacement cost?
