All of it relates to UK stuff. But have fun! I did convert 15.5 stone and
found it was 217 pounds. We certainly have people on this side of the pond
flying ultralights who weigh that and more.

Father John (man of many stone myself)

Look at the British Microlight Aircraft Association website
http://www.bmaa.org.uk/
This has details of clubs that provide instruction (several in the Northwest)
From a recent issue of their magazine, 3 axis microlights sell in the range
£5500 to £29000 used and £15000 to £46000 (gulp!!) new (ready to fly).
New kit aircraft are in the range £15000 to £24000.
Trike style microlights are much cheaper £2000 to £18500 used, £10500 to £23000
new. (prices are in UKP - approx 1.6 USD to 1 UKP)

Hi Michael,
A good point of reference is the BMAA (British Microlight Aircraft Acc)
http://www.bmaa.org/
Also, if you are in the NW the annual BMAA show is on in Telford on the
weekend of 5/6/7th December 03.... this is well worth a visit.
I am in Ireland and go over each year...... want advice...join the BMAA and
they have a lot of useful info.... some guys flying Rans S4 or S5 planes for
as little as £4000 - £5000 and they are fine little aircraft..... so it is
possible on a limited budget.....
Hope this helps,

Jon
