Default slime in burns

Thank you all for the replies and suggestions. If anyone is interested I
have managed to isolate (crop out) a small section of a photograph that has
a sample of what I am talking about. This particular sample is very coppery
in colour while other samples I have seen appear to be brighter and verging
on orange. I would send this via email to anyone who thinks they might have
an identification.

Is that the cause of the orange colour to some water near me that
arrives through a pipe (of sorts) into the Rhondda? I'd been wondering
what it were and whether it were friend or foe...

Don't forget to sort out the email address. Fran @ domain gets here
once you've removed the bit from the end.
