Default Walking the dog

I'm dog sitting my daughter's pooch this week and have arranged to do a
day on the hills with a friend tomorrow.

The dog is well capable of a 10 mile day but it did just strike me that
we humans keep ourselves stoked up through such a day with rolls,
sweeties and the likes, but shuld I take something for the dog?

Mine knows that after he has posed in front of the cairn for the summit
photo, he gets a Bonio! Lakeland do very nice snap'n seal boxes that
neatly hold five Bonios side by side.

If our day is expected to exceed 10 km, I give the hound breakfast
before we leave the house/howf.

Well it's only fair that I give you my feedback !

I took some dog biscuits which Sadie was given over two stops. But she
also appreciated dates, jelly babies and the corner of a honey roll.

More biscuits back at the car. As the afternoon was all heavy rain
(what can you expect in Glencoe), I wasn't worried about her getting
enough water, but I should have given her some on the journey home as
she drank copiously when we did get back.

Another mistake was not making sure that my daughter supplied a basic
lead as I had to lug one of these automatic ones all day - and never
saw a sheep anyway.
