I seem to be starting from Langdale all to often recently... I fancy a
change. Can anybody recomend a nice exposed scamble with an interesting walk
in preferably, not starting from or near Langdale and it's surrounding
hills?
Although, I might find myself missing the finishing pint at the ODG. hmm...
Cheers,

You can still end up at the pub.

I can't recommend a scramble, as I get vertigo 6" off the ground, but
I understand the problem: I have the same one.
To some extent, though, I think it depends upon where people live. I
approach the Lakes along the M6 from the south, and it's easy to "get
in" via Langdale. Other routes in, e.g. Borrowdale or Wasdale, take
much longer to get to.
Have you considered driving up to Grasmere, walking up to Grisedale
Tarn and taking it from there?

I normally get back to the ODG mid morning, so don't actually pop in.
If you're up there often then maybe a bunch of us can get together at
some stage for a weekend, or at least for a drink? :)
Best wishes,

Or down in Scales Tarn for a quick dip if you're not careful. :)

go on, confront those fears and overcome them. yeah, I know it's easily
said but it generally does work.
