Default Red Sea Water Temperature

I am going to Sharm al Sheikh to go diving in the red sea in the last week
of January I have to buy a wet suit and do not know which type or thickness
to get. I'm not sure what the sea temperature will be at this time of year.
Please can somebody help, will a 3mm shortie be ok or will I need a 5mm?
even then will a shortie be ok or should I go for a full wet suit

Thanks for any advise

totally agree the wind chill will make it very cold when getting out and not
at all nice when putting it back on for a second or third dive.

If you have one take your dry suit, I take mine to Sharm from end Nov to end
March. Much more comfortable. Most divemasters/instructers will be wearing
them.

If you dont have a dry suit then buy what you will most use elsewhere diving
if this is a 3mm then it will get cold on a 60 min dive, but you can always
hire a 1/2 suit for around 2-5 euro per day to top up.

My buddy has a 3mm full length and he always hires a 1/2 suit on top at this
time of year.

HTH and by the way you'll love it.
