I take mine in because otherwise they bang on the hull and really annoy me.

Otherwise it's like motoring with the outboard cover on, it's just lazy and
shows you are an amateur.
A bit like wearing a lifejacket on the Norfolk Broads in a Force 1.

( That'll get 'em going..... )
