Good reason to ban stilleto shoes once and for all. They are a menace to the traveling public and a potential weapon for hijackers. Let's not wait until the worst happens. Of course, if you ban stilleto shoes, only criminals will have stilleto shoes. But that is the price we pay for freedom.

But (like youths with trousers halfway down their legs) they'll never
be able to catch you.

Youths with trousers halfway down their legs are also a menace to the
travelling public and a potential weapon for hijackers and should also
be banned.

I'm confused! My reply in agreement with Rik Brown was predicated on
the notion that he wasn't being entirely serious in his comments. But
perhaps I'm wrong, in fact maybe he's on to something, indeed thinking
about it it's surely only a matter of time until there's an audacious
day of stiletto shoe train hijackings on the railways...

Serious or not, I'm scared now. If I see someone with very large
stiletto shoes strapped over sensible shoes I will alert the
authorities at once.
