    Of course you won't agree with any of this because you prefer ferries
    to the Channel Tunnel.

    True, but it seems they are having major problems [1] with all their
    3rd generation ICEs at the moment, and it's almost certainly an ICE3
    derivative that might be used for UK services.

    [1] Axle problems - one ICE3 set derailed at slow speed in Koeln Hbf
    recently, and they have found problems with other sets since.
