Do we know what the timetable arrangements will be for the newly
combined railway?

Presumably, there will be some through running considering all the
trouble they've gone to to cross Porthmadog.

All being well the timetable is being agreed on Wednesday - don't take
that as meaning that it will be announced on Wednesday, though.
Through running is unlikely, certainly this year. The connection is
primarily to give access to the FR station and Boston Lodge, the
latter for access to maintenance facilities without having to pay for
transport, cranes etc.

A newspaper report last week suggested a basic service of three trains
a day would operate between Caernarfon and Porthmadog from next
spring. A more intensive service would operate in the peak season. No
trains would run through to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The report suggested
the demand would not be there for that service - notwithstanding the
fact that WHR stock would not fit the FR gauge.
