Default Crosscountry morning peak north from Bristol

'A correspondent reports' that the weekdays 08:00 between Bristol and
Birmingham's pretty quiet since and perhaps because of the introduction
of a morning restriction for saver tickets.

That's just a single instance though. Any other observations, anyone,
please?

The Northbound trains until 09:30 are arriving in Oxford 3/4 empty,
they have certianly solved the overcrowding problem!
Its quite patehtic that tightening of Saver Restrictions has destroyed
long distance leisure travel, and moved it to Road or Air at huge
enviromental cost, it has also had the effect of cutting revenue for
XC, at this rate they should be able to withdraw peak services due to
lack of use.
Who wrote this disasterous frachaise agreement the Dft or Arriva?
