Default Swindon Kemble - Blessed are the cheesemakers. What has the ORRever done for us?

Indeed, and agreed, but snafus like Swindon to Kemble deserve to be
sorted out as well, otherwise investment in rail capacity 'Where its
really needed' is always pulled into London.

This is a diversionary route for the Severn Tunnel. Perhaps a
contribution from the Welsh Assembly :-0

My money is on GN not getting connected to Thameslink, and the route
not getting a full fleet of NGEMU but holding on to 319s and 377s and
maybe a few more 377s to make a slight increase in the numbers.

Of course, that assumes the Tories would maintain Labour’s current
business model for the railways, a model influenced by prejudice,
mistrust and a basic lack of understanding of business.

Chiltern redoubled their railway and no doubt so could FGW but not
whilst we continue with such short franchises.

As for a British TGV, surely a significant amount of private sector
finance could be attracted for that.

Government isn’t the only solution for these things and certainly
that’s one prejudice the Tories have never signed up to.

Oh of course, silly me, I'd missed Tony's smiley.
