I thought it was a senior Government type. FGW's then MD lived in Trowbridge

If they went Carstairs, Carlisle, Settle, Leeds (avoider), Normanton,
Hare Park Junction, Doncaster, Shireoaks, Pye Bridge Junction, East
Midlands Parkway, Oakham, Corby, Kettering, MML reversible slow then
finally avoid St Pancras by using the City Thameslink as its terminus,
that should keep them out of most people's way.

Also, excellent access for the City a bit circuitous, I know, but hey
non-stop I wonder timing might be possible.

Didn't BR manage some spectacularly bad publicity by having an
unscheduled stop on the very first public APT service for the benefit
of a minor TV personality who had missed her train?
