ROFL! But as it's clearly a porte cocherie at the moment, when they
throw out the cars, what then? An Ex-port(e) Cochere?
Which raises my main question about the development - they have a taxi
pickup/dropoff in Station Rd, which is great as long as they move some
sort of ticket office there (otherwise it'll be a huge trek to the new
ticket office, and probably inside the barriered area as well) but what
about private car pickup/dropoff. That also applies to "private hire"
'taxis' which are treated differently in Nottingham already, when it
comes to access to things. In particular one road very near the station
is "licenced taxis and buses only".
They'll also need somewhere else to park the inevitable fleets of "rail
replacement buses" which currently use Station Rd. Or are architects
like these not allowed to believe that such things exist?

And it never rains on the road where you will have to get in and out of
taxis (see slide 15).

Also, what about replacement bus services when there are engineering works?
They forgot this when Sheffield was done, so passengers now have to walk to
the bus station.

Those were some of the buses I was referring to. (They aren't all
because of work-to-rule on a Sunday).
