Default Similarly named railway locations

Any examples of railway locations which could (at one time or still)
cause confusion because of the similarity of their names? Castle Cary
and Castlecary being the sort of thing.

Forgot my favourite: at one time the automated announcements at Woking
used to pronounce "Teignmouth" (correctly pronounced "Timmuth") as
"Tynemouth"!

Yes - and it gets announced at Waterloo as Gillingham (Dorset). Do they
refer to the other as (Kent) at Waterloo East?

St Margarets and St Margarets...

Chiswick and Grove Park. Bear with me. The station in Chiswick (on the
Hounslow Loop) is in a part of Chiswick know as Grove Park and was (at one
time) "Chiswick (Grove Park)". My father actually helped a passenger who
had arrived wanting S.E. London.

Keith.
