No thank you. Southeastern has enough delays of its own without importing
more from South West Trains.

Anyway, the spur would probably be haunted by the ghost of South Eastern
Railway director Captain Warren, who was struck and killed by a train when
he was walking on the spur.

How about operation by a single franchise holder, New Southern Railway
perhaps?

A 'radical development' would be if they widened the throat to allow the
suburban platforms to be extended at the country end, and built the flyover
needed at Clapham Junction to allow the main line services into the Eurostar
terminal, as proposed by Arup a couple of years ago. This appears to be the
easy option, and only immediately relevant to the low numbered platforms?
Unless they are ever going to extend beyond 12 car on other routes, as often
discussed...

Er.. many of the shops have already been removed to make space for the
ticket barriers.
