Default Even More WCML woes

Yesterday the 1125 from Nuneaton to Watford Junction was 30 minutes
late, having been orignally told 10 mintes then 15 then 20 mins late.
Apparently due to tresspassers on the line between Crewe and
Stafford.

The return 1632 was then stuck just short of Nuneaton for 20 minutes
with no trains running due to signal failure between Nuneaton and
Tamworth.

Possibly also a side effect of a "fatality" between Preston and Lancaster,
which delayed trains in both directions. .

Who teaches Virgin announcers to forever apologise for
'this *slight* delay'? What's the purpose
of the word 'slight'? To patronisingly suggest that
passengers shouldn't fuss about a few minutes, perhaps.
I bet you don't hear such things in Japan.

And is Stockport the only place where trains 'arrive
to' a platform? Irritatingly illiterate.

No - I have heard it elsewhere, including (sometimes) Manchester Piccadilly
and have heard similar on-train announcements about "arriving to" a
destination. - I don't think many schools teach grammar nowadays.
