They claim not to have enough, but I haven't tried calculating
possible north of PBO diagrams to validate this for myself.

Agreed. People can live with train to train interchange - it could
even be done same platform (different ends) at EDB.

And it is even more unacceptable for NX not to try to run trains round the
diversionary route. They're a big, franchised operator and have the
resources to do so.

Ironically, it was the "trainspotters" at GC (your words, not mine) and Hull
Trains who manged to run round the block - if they managed to get crews
trained etc etc, why can't NX?
