Default Network rail tries to discredit TGV record?

I reckon they mean kiloNewtons... standard (total) tensions for high
speed lines I have seen quoted are 53 kN (Shinkansen) 28 kN (TGV-PSE)
34 kN (TGV-Atlantique) 30 kN (Germany) 33 kN (Italy).

40 kN = 4078.86 Kg force, a bit more than 4 tonnes...

That release makes them (and us) look (or sound) like small minded
prats. A head should roll, or at the very least some knuckles should
be rapped.

RFF - the French railways infrastructure body - is as yet nowhere
anywhere near anything like NR.

The vast majority of equivalent functions which NR carry out in the UK
are in France still with SNCF.

How big would the wheels on a Merdolino have to be? I bet the sh*t
would be flying about in the toilets. The track would in fine fettle,
of course. best Jarvis standards. None of this state railway nonsense.
(Yes, I know about RFF)
