Both of the above, I'd imagine. I don't think weekend engineering
work is likely to end soon...

December 2008 "should" see the work brought to an end other than usual
maintenance.

Then its down to how well Network Rail can do at keeping the railway
stable!

Personally I'd worry more about the cost of travelling on a Friday
afternoon.
