(Although it may be the year of arrival, not the time!)

ISTR this was related to the need to accomodate Eurostar paths and keep
a regular-(but eccentric)-interval service (although I may be wrong).

Presumably if so there is the chance to recast the timetable for next
year (when Eurostar services leave the traditional network), or will
they wait until the high-speed domestic services change the pattern
further?

I also thought it was on the 20 minute pattern rather than on the hour
but was not sure.

I was going to take a photo of this some time ago (I have used the
late/last trains a few times and seen the 24/25xx timing) as I did
think it was quite amusing.

The annoying thing is that the screens are unable to show any
information about delays. When I waited at Kentish Town for a service
to St Albans, thinking it would be easier than going back to Kings
Cross and taking my normal service to Hatfield, I was made to wait
nearly 45 minutes for a train. The screen simply counted up every
minute, so you had no idea of when it would actually arrive - or if it
would ultimately be cancelled.

As it turned out, someone had been taken ill on a train at Blackfriars
(with an ambulance called) but if the screens could have said this (or
an announcement was made), I could have taken a train in the other
direction and gone to Hatfield.

The new screens on GN can show information (not that they often do) so
does anyone know if the TL ones will be updated, presumably fixing the
26-hour day 'bug' in the process?

Jonathan
