Are you counting HST as LH or not ?

If yes, I'm wondering if Bristol Parkway might qualify. Again, it
depends on which timetable year you look at but AFAIR there have been
certain timetables with no DMU between Bristol and Gloucester, nor
towards Swindon or Patchway.

There's also the morning Great Yarmouth to London which is a 170. I
believe this stops at Diss

Thinking on this more, there was I think an phase between Bristol
Parkway opening before WR HST started ?

252001 might have been aout but ISTR it was on a Padd - Chippenham -
Bristol - WSM diagram not using the Badminton route.

What is now the 0803 Carstairs toi Garscadden, and the corresponding return
train in the evening peak, have run as emus ever since the WCML was
electrified in 1974 - obviously originally running to/from Glasgow Central
High Level.

Another one - less sure - what about Coatbridge Central ? Wasn't ''The
Clansman'' the only train calling there at one time ? Or possibly one
of the overnights as well? I don't have any ScR timetables to look at
for this.

Unsocial hours to some are of course very social hours to others!

There was a time when it only had the Clansman and an overnight - but it
didn't have lines radiating in more than two directions.

At the period in question -

South from Coatbridge Central at Mossend North Junction routes diverge
to Mossend (to the south) and Holytown to the east. I thought both of
these were passenger routes at the period in question with an overnight
using for keeping route knowledge.

North from Coatbridge Central again two divering routes at Gartsherrie
South Junction - towards the north east is the route used by the
''Clansman'' towards the west is the Gartcosh route used by the Fort
William sleeper to get to Glasgow QS.

Or do the Holytown and Gartcosh routes dis-qualify as some the train[s]
in question did not call at Coatbridge Central ?
