its not at the NRM anymore - I think moved down to london, last time I was
there it wasnt available for viewing

Of course, had the line been built by the GNR as the Kings Cross &
City line, and the 1940 tube stock supplied to the LNER, the car would
be fully restored and on display in the main hall.

It is not GN/NE/LNER, they can't paint it bright green, so they have no
interest in it. IMHO they only have the ex W&C loco because it was a
legacy item.

A good place to locate the W&C car would be in the LT museum depot at
Action. I know its not LT by origin, but is so much part of London
tubes and would be better placed to make a side by side compare with LT
/ LU cars.

I heard that Staveley has had 201 put up at ActOn (no 'i')
