Writing Scottish Railway History Hi all,
You are invited to a talk by Peter Marshall, noted writer of Scottish
railway history books, published by the Oakwood Press, on Thursday 13th
October, 1930 for 2000 at the Rail and River Centre, Slaithwaite Civic Hall,
New Street (entry through the centre's shop on the canalside.)
Drinks and nibbles will be available.
This promises to be an interesting talk by an eminent writer of Scottish
railway history. The facilities of the Rail and River centre shop and
travel information point will be available for inspection and the purchase
of books. New Oakwood Press books and second-hand books from many other
publishers will also be available, courtesy of Nick Tozer.
The centre is easy to find and is sign posted from New Street and from the
circular car park in the centre of Slaithwaite. Slaithwaite station, served
by local trains from Huddersfield and Manchester, is a ten minute walk away.
Car parking is available opposite the medical centre next to the Civic Hall.
