Virgin 1st Class

Hi guys. I'm thinking of travelling Holyhead - Euston with Virgin who are
quoting a 7 day advance single fare of £19.00. What extra would I get if I
were to avail of the upgrade to 1st class?

Depends which train you're travelling on. On the morning Pendolino service
you'll get full at seat service of complementary tea/coffee and snacks,
plus a complementary full English breakfast. On the Voyager operated
services you'll get at seat service of complementary tea/coffee and snacks.

Of course you'll also get a more comfortable, spacious, reclining seat.

To my mind, there are no complimentary refreshments on any train
services in the UK - some are just pre-paid (whether you partake of
them or not). Personally I'd rather have a ticket that was £10 cheaper
and choose whether I wanted to pay £12 for a drink and a meal.
