Default Fenchurch Street

Does anyone know why late night c2c services run into Liverpool Street
Monday - Friday but late night services on weekends keep going to Fenchurch
Street?

I've been told they do this because it allows the drivers to keep route
knowledge/access rights in to LST, and then allows c2c to use it when things
go horribly wrong at FST, which has happened a couple of times recently.

What about early weekday mornings as well? I saw a C2C train on the
up slow (up electric, I suppose) passing Maryland at about 06:45 a few
weeks ago.

That could have been when there was a lineside fire near Gas Factory
Junction when all services were being Diverted or suspended

Every 5 months (just so we don't go out the 6 month rule) an appointment is
made to run a train Between Fenchurch Street and East Ham EMUD via the Gas
Factory - Bow Juncs and then back by the Route to Barking. It is usual
practice for a different driver to operate every say services into Liverpool
st
