Default First Great Western fares from Cardiff

I need to travel from Cardiff to Heathrow on Monday and searching the
Network rail site can not find any early trains with tickets at less
    than 205 pounds Rtn.

I thourght the early Pre 06.00 trains were Cheap day and the after
06.00 were full fare. That certainly was the case last year for the
    05.15 I am sure.

I think I now understand why my local taxi quoted 180 pound

Well there's an advance single at £77.50 showing up at the moment on
    the 0515

And an anytime single is £88.50, so there's no way it can be £205
    return. £177 max.

Perhaps the online journey planner isn't interpreting the restriction
right as a result of the need to change at Reading or Paddington. It
does show off-peak returns as valid to Reading for £53 and Paddington
for £61 on the 0515 from Cardiff. It similarly doesn't offer an off-
peak ticket to Reading West changing at Reading on the same train.

    Walk-on Off-Peak tickets aren't available until after 09:30. However
there may be advance purchase tickets available on selected peak
service. Certainly there is a £62.50 Advance Single from Cardiff to
    Reading on the 05:15 service.

You don't say when you are returning, but there are Advance singles from
£14.00 in the evening, plus the £16 for the Rail Air coach. This gives a
    total of £92.50.
