Abbey Vogue GTS

I found a stip of angle metal inside the van by the outside door it measures
approx 24" X .25" X.25" . It had an adhesive strip along one of the sides.
Cannot find out where it comes from. Anybody got any ideas. (It is the same
width as the door but cannot find any clues as to where it goes.)

Might just be something a previous owners stuck in place to stop
draughts, or could be used to keep the door seal from being kicked out
of it's channel.
